Did you know that changes to your home must be approved by the HOA architectural committee?
You are liable for removing or undoing changes not approved by the architectural committee.
- Thinking of updating your backyard landscaping?
- Opening a new window?
- Replacing your front door or garage door?
- Planting a new tree?
What is next?
Step 1
Please complete the architectural form. This document asks you to detail your requested changes, modification(s), alteration(s) and include details such as: dimensions, materials, colors, design, location, and any other pertinent data.
Step 2
Submit the completed form along with supporting documentation (design drawings, sketch, surveys, etc) to the HOA board hoapasadena@gmail.com and Elite Property management company EMAMGT@aol.com to arrange for the architectural committee to review and approve your makeover before you get started.
Step 3
Please wait for the approval of your request before starting any work or paying for any services including surveys or permits required for the job. Save your approved form along with your home records. If the job is completed and the requested change is not approved or never submitted to the architectural committee it is possible that you will have to revert all changes regardless of the cost.
That is it!
About the architectural Committee
The function of the architectural committee, established in the association’s documents, is to review and approve homeowner requests for additions, renovations and exterior changes to members’ homes or landscaping in compliance with the Association’s CC&Rs or design review guidelines (CC&Rs and design review guidelines provide land use restrictions along with limits on what physical changes may or may not be made to the exterior of the property) and aesthetic standards or architectural design policy. CC&Rs require written approval by the ARC before any changes are made to the exterior appearance of a home or property, including landscaping. Governing documents may provide for the board to assume the responsibility of design review if there is no architectural review committee.
